Man – a genious construction

Auflage 2015, 155 S., ISBN: 9-89397-649-3.

Man -
a genious construction

We are all dragging a basic question through our life: Where do we actually come from? And closely linked to it the next question swiftly arises: Why are we living here for some time, and what will come after – will our existence then irreversibly be erased, or will we exist for all eternity at another place?

There are only two possible answers to solve this problem:

  • Model A: Evolutionists and atheists tell us that we all have evolved solely out of matter in a million year long process without a plan, intelligence or purpose. With death everything will terminate and there is no god to whom we once will have to give account for what we have done in our life.
  • Model B: In contrast to the above mentioned there is the declaration of the bible that an all wise and almighty creator has created us willingly and purposefully. Death however is the final destination of our earthly life, but simultaneously the starting point of eternal life because our creator wants to have communion with us in heaven.

These two interpretations are so far apart that one of them imperatively must be wrong. Which of these two statements will give us a viable concept in the light of the state of knowledge of our century? Let’s look at some sensory organs and prominent parts of our body by examining if the concepts are without intelligence or if they own any intelligent characteristics. At the same time we will look at some corresponding passages of the bible. Having looked at each part of the human body we will see and then prove which model we can respectively assign a point to.

Tactile Sense
Spread on the surface of the skin

On each square-centimeter of our skin there are up to 6 000 000 cells and 5 000 sensory receptors which enable our tactile sense to work. Everything we are feeling, be it heat, cold, smoothness, roughness or pain, is being transmitted. For this purpose a highly dense network of transmitting lines plus intelligent encoding to enable the brain to rightly detect and allocate the type of information needed. This network of information outside the brain has an extension of 380 000 kilometers.

Who has planned this network, has laid these high-tech lines and has worked out the code for the brain to detect and allocate the amount of information? Such a highly intelligent target-oriented system cannot be build by way of chance! The point must clearly be given clearly to Model B.

The Ear
An organism with the most precise measurement technology

The human ear owns the unimagined ability to distinguish between acoustic energy differences at a range of 1 to 1 trillion (= 1012). No device can achieve this without a measuring range switch. The sensitivity of the ear approaches the possible physical limit. This is achieved by way of having the signal converted three times from a mechanical to a hydraulic and finally to an electric signal. The same sound first reaches the eardrum in a direct way, then again after a time span of a five-thousandth of a second. With these four measurement values the brain processes by means of correlation two more signals. With the help of this ingenious signal processing of the brain it seems as if we are listening with six ears.

This highly sophisticated technology makes it possible to generate an acoustic analysis to identify course, origin and movement of sources of sound in all the spheres of space; furthermore in a conversation with several persons we can upstage less important matters and deliberately highlight the more relevant. This no technical device can achieve. What is the origin of this ingenious construction? Are there any processes which can achieve this without setting a clear target? Of course not! The writer of the psalm gives us a short and clear answer: “He who planted the ear, does He not hear? He who formed the eye, does He not see?” (Psalm 94:9) The ear didn’t evolve from any evolutionary process, but it originates from the work of an ingenious creator. Again Model B will get the point.

The Blood
An universal means of transport

The blood safeguards vital functions of the body. Every cell is being provided with energy from the food, vitamins, hormones and warmth. Also metabolic products as well as heat are being discharged. The blood is kept in a steady flow all its life; it is in the state of an infinite loop with the heart being filled with blood every second in order to eject it right after.

Special features of it are the red blood cells; in each mm3 (= 1 μl) of the blood there are some 5 million. They are filled with oxygen and at the same time the waste product carbon dioxide (CO2) is unloaded. The red blood cells contain a highly specialized vital chemical compound, the haemoglobin, in use already during the embryonic development. In the fetal period (from the beginning of the 3rd month) the need of oxygen is changing, so a different kind of haemoglobin with another chemical structure is required. Shortly before birth all chemical machines are working at full blast to safeguard the changeover to the production of adult haemoglobin.

These three kinds of haemoglobin cannot be found by evolutionary processes via trial and error because any other version would not contain enough oxygen and herewith cause certain death. Three times a different bio-machinery is needed to produce the specific kind of haemoglobin, also transferring the product processes at the right time. Where does such complicated machinery come from? Any kind of evolutionary idea will absolutely fail, for there is not the slightest chance of survival for any half mature intermediate stage of development. This point will also clearly go to model B.

The Cells
Components of the human body

Did you know that your human body consists of 100 trillion (= 1014) cells of which each one is composed of about 10 000 times as many molecules the Milky Way Galaxy has stars? Hereby you have to bear in mind: Our Milky Way consists of at least 100 billion (= 1011) singular stars. If anyone wants to count up to this number (1014) by counting unceasingly day and night in a cycle time of one second, a lifespan would not be enough to do it. Viz. the amount of time would be three million years! It is scientifically completely unknown how such a vast amount of cells organize themselves to a living organism. What kind of programme code does achieve the growth? Nobody so far has figured this out. If all our scientific knowledge is not sufficient to understand this, how come that an aimless evolutionary strategy will achieve this? Here also the point goes to model B.

The DNA
Unrivalled storage technology computers can never attain

Inside the cell, in its microscopic small nucleus, the most precious material of our body is stored – the genome, the genetic information. All information needed for the building up of our body (e.g. construction of the organs and limbs, production of all necessary chemical compounds) is thoroughly programmed here. Of the sheer unconceivable density of information in the DNA-molecule we’d like to give a vivid description. Imagine the amount of DNA material being fitted into a pinhead; then we could store in it 15 trillion pocket books each containing 160 pages. Laying them on top of each other we would get a stack of books 500 times higher than the distance from earth to moon. Figure out which model will get the point again?

The Brain
The most complex structure of the universe

The brain is the central subordinate organ of our neural system which guides, monitors and coordinates almost all processes of the organism. It collects and analyses sensory impressions, stores them and causes its expedient responses. About the actual data processing of the brain we virtually have no information about. Only one thing is for sure: A great amount of sophisticated neural programs must exist which are able to process and coordinate all incoming and outgoing sensory information. All must occur in real time and in parallel. We do not know how memories are being stored and retrieved. Furthermore completely unknown to us is how we get new ideas, and how interactive communication with our nonmaterial entity, the soul, is taking place.

The brain consists of about 100 billion nerve cells (neurons). Its number has the scale of the amount of stars of our Milky Way Galaxy. Each neuron is connected with thousands of other neurons via neuronal synapses. It’s a network of ultimate complexity. Again the point will go to model B.

Sensual perception in this world and beyond

All the functions of our earthly body will terminate when death occurs. Is death herewith the absolute final station of our life here on earth as atheists and proponents of the evolutionary theory proclaim? The bible has a definite NO to it! According to god’s plan we are made for eternity and can never be extinguished.

In the gospel of Luke, chapter 16, Jesus tells of two persons whose existence was terminated by physical death. Immediately they arrive in the other world with full consciousness. In the life of the first person god never was an issue, while the other one, Lazarus, was aware of being maintained by god. Jesus describes the condition of each one of the two after death: “Now the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s bosom; and the rich man also died and was buried. In Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torment” (Luke 16:22-23). Both have left this world through death and now exist at a completely different place. Although they both had lived in the same city their actual places of living now are completely different. One of them is enjoying glory while the other is living at the place of torment.

For no living person life will end with the death of the physical body. For this fact we have a reliable source of information. In the resurrection a transition of the physical earthly body to an eternal body will take place: “It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body” (1Cor. 15:42, 44). About our eternal existence the bible speaks of two extremely different places, heaven and Hades (hell), respectively the place of glory in the closeness of god and the place of condemnation in the remoteness of god.

If we want to describe heaven and Hades (hell) then we could say by means of our sensual awareness: Both are places of perception – either a place where we experience eternal beauty and glory or one of eternal horror. Which place we once will experience will depend on our position towards Jesus Christ, more exactly – whether we will trust and obey him, or not. Here again the point must go to model B, because atheists do not own any source of information for their view.

Man
A genious and planned construction

Having looked at these few details of the human body and its soul it has already become apparent that man is undoubtedly a genious construction. Therefore it is irrational to assume that we are the result of an unplanned process of matter left itself on its own. Without the assumption that there is a creation we get hopelessly stuck in the thicket of evolutionary systems of thought and cannot meet reality. According to Romans 1:19 it is consistent to conclude the existence of a creator, because “His invisible attributes … are made evident to them (people). It can easily be comprehended that without any doubts all points had to be given to model B.

For the creation of man according to the bible there is an underlying concept or plan: “Let Us make man” (Genesis 1:26). This plan was carried out immediately: “And god created man in His own image” (Genesis 1:27). The New Testament leads us deeper into the thought of creation and tells us about the person of the creator: ”For by Him (Jesus Christ) all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible” (Col. 1:16). About Jesus it is said: “Whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world” (Heb. 1:2).

In John 14:6 Jesus pronounced this radical sentence: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” Thus, He is the only door to heaven. Only He has paid for our transgressions by dying on the cross. Therefore we can rightly say: “He who believes in the Son has eternal life” (John 3:36). So you can ask the Lord Jesus to forgive you all your sins, and you will not suffer eternal perdition in the final judgment court of god. Ask Him to come into your life as your personal creator and savior and follow Him.
